A delightfully fruity Viognier from a single-vineyard site in Chile's stunning Rapel region. From its intense lime-scented aromas to its flavours of soft apricot and ginger, this wine oozes personality and has an irresistible charm.
Viognier is a capricious grape variety. It needs perfect growing conditions along with careful handling if it is to produce the exotic and heady flavours for which it is well known and much loved. With its warm climate and cooling breezes, the sub-region of Alto Cachapoal at the foot of the Andes offers just such conditions. Highly experienced winemaker Gonzalo Pérez has made Viognier from many different parts of Chile but is convinced that none have the depth of fruit flavour and the balance that comes from this area. A small portion of the wine was aged in French oak to give a subtle creamy texture without overwhelming the fruit
