Leather

This gives a clean, contemporary feel to a chair or sofa – ideal for clean-lined, understated designs with firm padded support in both the frame and cushions. We offer three types of leather:

Corrected and Pigmented (x1 leather hide symbol)

This leather type has been corrected and pigmented. Though some natural characteristics may still be visible, the leather has a smoother, more even appearance and the colour will be more uniform. The pigment finish protects the leather and makes it more durable. Our Bronco leather is more luxurious as it has a thick two tone grain finish.

Character (x2 leather hide symbols)

With this more delicate finish the natural characteristics of this soft and supple leather will be a bigger feature. This leather is lightly milled with a natural grain finish, there will be more natural characteristics apparent than the leathers in our corrected and pigmented collection.

Waxy (x3 leather hide symbols)

This sealed waxy leather has a light protective finish maintaining the natural beauty of the grain, with variation in texture and shading in each panel. Over time it will adopt a unique aged and antique look, scuff marks will be unavoidable over time, this will add to its natural unique character.

Do note that leather upholstered furniture has more visible seams than its fabric covered equivalent. Bear in mind that you will need to position leather furniture away from radiators (at least 30cm) to prevent the leather from becoming damaged.

In order to keep leather looking at its best, some maintenance will be required. It should be dusted weekly with a clean cloth or vacuumed with a soft brush attachment. If you spill something accidentally, use a clean, damp cloth to mop up any excess. Don't rub and don't use too much water as it can stain. A damp cloth with a very mild soap solution can be used on everyday grime and dirt, but avoid household cleaning products as these can react with the finish and cause surface cracking.
