Check the skirt length
The main thing that was wrong with this skirt was it's length. The photo is misleading. My daughter is tall for her age and often skirts from the supermarkets are far too short for her, hence me ordering this and the extra long. That was a mistake, as they are extra long and not above the knee as the photo shows. Check the length you need before buying. I returned mine of course.
My daughter didn't like the pockets on the hips either, as it creates lumps on what would usually be the flat part of the skirt.

M&s always do good quality school ware, and this item lives up to that standard.

Too long!
My daughter is a slightly taller than average 11 year old. The skirt I bought from M&S in September is already too short, but then realised this is probably a 'fashion' length skirt. She could not wear it with socks & could only get away with wearing it with tights.
After reading some reviews, bought this style in the long version. It was far too long so returned it.
M&S need to realise that 'fashion' length is NOT suitable for school.
It would also be helpful to know the measurement of skirts (waist & length) online before you order as it would make purchasing so much easier than the hit & miss it can be.

Not quite right
Did not fit my daughter very well. A little too tight on the sizing. Too keen on the amount of material used and a little too short- above the knee. M and S need to be more generous in sizing back to basics please!
