ABOUT THIS WINE: Fresh acidity is matched by fine tannins and the finish is lightly spicy. In the hot, dry climate of Cariñena, old vines have learnt to survive by digging deep into the soil to reach natural reserves of water. The resulting fruit is highly concentrated, giving vibrant wines which are ripe and intensely fruity.
SERVING: A fruity Spanish red such as this is best enjoyed with simple, rustic dishes such as pan-fried chorizo, chicken and tomato casserole or a selection of cold meats and cheeses.
