Sonoma Dark 2-Drawer Sideboard

Crafted predominantly from solid American oak and oak veneer, this range has all the characteristics of solid oak, such as knots, figuring, colour variation and end-grain detail, as well as dovetail joints. A protective low-sheen lacquer provides added durability. Glass doors and shelves are made from safety-tested toughened glass. The glazed tops sit on the sideboards and all glazed units have internal lights with an on/off switch.

Finished with a rich dark stain, followed by 2 coats of durable, clear lacquer of low sheen
Side panels and back panels made from White Oak veneer
Top panels made from White Oak veneer with a solid Oak edging for strength
Handles made from solid wood
Shelves made from White Oak veneer
Drawer boxes and fronts made from solid hardwood. Drawer bottoms made from White Oak veneer
Legs made from solid hardwood
Door frames made from solid wood. Door panels made from White Oak veneer
All joints are glued and pressed together in the factory, giving more inherent strength than flat pack fittings
Why use veneers? Unlike solid timber, veneer does not twist/warp/split to the same degree. Only the finest logs are used in veneer production. It is environmentally sound and traditional - much of the finest cabinetry in the world is veneered

Wrong time to buy I couldn't have been better pleased with this product, but unfortunately the price was reduced by a considerable amount one week after my purchase. Still it won't put me off saving for another item! 01 November 2011
