Lovely tho' not as nice as tasting at the winery. Foil not easy to remove - have blood stains to prove!

Sent as a gift which was very well received by the recipient because they had visited the region in NZ where the wine comes from earlier this year. They were delighted to receive it.

Yealands Estate
Yes, I recommend this
This Gold Medal Winner (2014) is a stunner. Having just returned from NZ, and actually visited Yealands Estate, it has to be one of the happiest places to work, with the most sustainable business practices. Their Pinot Noir is one of the best I have tasted at under £15 a bottle on my trip and I was delighted to see that M&S had persuaded them to bottle under their own label. You won't regret trying it. This is my second case in a month!

Misleading award
Yes, I recommend this
The vintage of this wine advertised is 2012. The wine in shot has been allocated by M&S as gold level. This is inaccurate as only the 2011 vintage obtained gold standard in the very recent international wine challenge award for 2013

Pinot character
Yes, I recommend this
This is an authentic pinot noir with a good nose, decent amount of body and some mineral character . At the 25% off package and hence under a tenner it would be hard to match it
