Great fit, but one drawback
A great quality jacket that fits really well. However, the material is rather coarse and on occasion I find it scratches and can be a bit itchy.

Great jacket
100% wool, excellent slim fit and beautifully tailored for £100: well worth it. I saw quite a few of this type of jacket on offer at different shops and they either were lacking in quality, fitting or style. By far the best of the grey herringbone jackets out there.
I only wish M&S did their full range of jackets in 34", rather than a very small selection.

Exceptional jacket for the price.
The Slim fit version is a very smart cut and is amazing value for this quality of a jacket. Size and fit perfect.

Wrong size label?
For years I've worn M&S 38" chest jackets but felt I now needed a slightly larger size so ordered a 40" chest. When it came I found that it is the same size as my old 38" jacket - in fact it seems smaller because it is a 'slimline' fit (not mentioned in the website description, incidentally!). I do have some 38/40 jackets from M&S which are much roomier.
What has happened? This looks like a case of a wrong label, but doesn't anyone check? No quality control? I e-mailed M&S and they suggested I take it to my nearest store and exchange it. I only ordered online because I have a broken ankle just now and therefore restricted mobility, but buying clothing online is very uncertain, I've found!
Anyway, hopefully I can resolve this soon but M&S should be checking this whole batch in case mine is not an isolated instance.
I should add, I'm usually very happy with M&S clothes, so this is very disappointing.
