Rully Premier Cru La Pucelle 2010 - Case of 6
Good Value Burgundy
If you are looking for good value in a wine Burgubdy would not be the first place to search for most buyers. Burgundy is expensive, capricious and often disappoints. But Rully, from the northern commune of the Cote Chalonnaise, is often one of the best buys in this expensive region. This Premier Cru wine from la Pucelle has good fruit and acidity and some hints of the classic vanilla and honey of the big oaked chardonnays. It is nicely integrated, and the hints of vanilla and honey on the finish do not mean that it is overblown. It works well as an aperitif, but would also go well with pork or chicken dishes. A good value white Burgundy and testament to M&S's buyer's skill as they continue their good run.
