I bought this semi-reluctantly wondering whether the cut would suit me. From the pic on the site, I liked the colour and I was happy with the look of the jacquard fabric, which I generally like as it is not flimsy and therefore holds its shape. When the dress arrived, I tried it on and it fit really well. I'm 5ft 8in, size 10, and found it was just the right number of inches over my knees. Also, the puffball effect was not as extreme as I had feared, making it more versatile than expected. It's a dress I know I will wear – at a wedding, or a party, and I reckon it will become a firm favourite. I don't think you need a belt but the option means yet more versatility!

Fit and Sewing Issues December 4, 2008

Thought I ordered correct size using charts. Dress was perfectly cut & fabric was lovely, but too small. Rec'd one size larger today, and while it fits, the Puff is sewn incorrectly. When I try to fluff and straighten, it's sewn on a left angle and won't lay straight down. Bust dart is sewn wrong too. The material seems lighter than 1st dress? I'm across the pond and shipping is too costly for poor size charts and bad workmanship. Sadly returning.

Beautiful fabric, fabulous shape when worn on hourglass figure but unfortunately too short for me and I am just 5ft. I spent 2 days searching for a party dress and this would have been perfect.
