4 Polystyrene Blocks & 8 Dowels - Wedding Cake Accessories
More info required
I had seen the two blocks in store so ordered these thinking they would be in 4 different sizes for the m& s wedding cake. They are just two packs of the 2 blocks which should have been explained in the description or in the FAQ

Used these blocks and dowels to create a 4-tier wedding cake. Needed to buy an extra packet of dowels. In the end decided on real flowers (roses) after attempting to make sugarpaste ones which was really time-consuming to make, they were more vulnerable to crushing and didn't look so nice.
(Where I live the assistant in the specialist equipment shop had never heard about this method as an alernative to pillars, so I could go and give them some tips now!)
As other people have said, the plastic is not that easy to push the dowel through - take your time and use something slimmer first - a knitting needle perhaps.

Used on a wedding cake, excellent at spacing the cake but quite difficult to push fresh flower stems into the polystyrene.

Dowels easy to use, just follow the instructions. They snapped without problem. I found it easier to push a skewer though the blocks first so that the dowels went in easily, and I cut out a template of a square to position the dowels correctly on the polystyrene blocks.
Cake levels kept secure. Job done!
