Lingerie expert Julia Mercer talks you through the basic rules...
A good bra instantly improves your posture and makes you feel more comfortable.
A well fitted bra should fit snugly but not tightly around your rib cage with the bra fastened on the middle hook. You should be able to get two fingers under the band.
The bra's underwire should fit against your sternum between your breasts - no wire shoud come into contact with your breast tissue.
Make sure the cups encase the breasts without pushing the breasts under the arm or over the cup.
You might be anxious about wearing a bigger cup size, but the right size might actually make you look smaller.
If a bra fits you properly, it will stay in place when you lift your arms up, and your breasts will be contained by the cups of the bra when you lean forward.
When you try a bra try to remember to try it with your clothes on to check that you have a smooth silhouette.
