Per Una Cable Knit Fit & Flare Dress with Wool
I was very pleased with this, although based on the other comments here I can only think that there must have been a very short batch of these dresses made. I am 5'7 and the dress is, at most, an inch above my knee and therefore not too short at all.
I find the fit flattering and am certain this will be my most worn dress this winter. Yes it is grey, as described, so don't buy it if you are looking for a knitted dress in a brighter colour. The dress can be worn with accessories for an evening out, but also worn for a day shopping or even to work! A great buy!

Easy to wear
I really like this dress - but then I am only 5ft 2" and find the length just right! I also like the dark colour which I jazz up with either a bright scarf or long necklace. It is so easy to wear - just pull it on and go. I haven't washed it yet but would hope it retains its shape. I wear it with black or grey opaque tights. I have tried this dress in 3 sizes (I am normally a 14) and tried 10, 12 and 14. The size 12 was perfect so it does come up rather big.

Why short sleeves?? It is cold!
The quality is acceptable for the price.
The colour is a bit dull !!! Lets think a bit more creatively please. There are so many lovely warm autumn colours!
Most importantly though...
1. The style of the neck really 'ages' the garment. It is too high and will make anyone with a bigger bust look even bigger. Think female friendly shapes please!
2. Why are the sleeves short?!!! Its cold!

Lovely dress, but way too short for me
I really loved this dress, which is made from a nice thick knit, and provides a flattering look on my hourglass shape. It looks great with a red paisley scarf and black boots. However, I'm 5ft 3in and the length was well above the knee - nowhere near long enough. This should probably have been in the 'petite range'. M&S - why are so many Per Una dresses and skirts no longer offered in a choice of lengths, to reflect the fact that your customers vary in height?
