  Navarra is right next door to Rioja, sharing many of the same grape varieties and whilst perhaps lesser known in this country, the best wines enjoy a similar reputation as its illustrious neighbour in its native Spain. Bodegas Chivite is one of the oldest and best respected wine producing families in Spain, winemaker Fernando Chivite is the 11th generation of this dynasty.
• The wine is made from Tempranillo and Garnacha with a smaller percentage of Cabernet sauvignon, matured slowly maturation in French and American oak casks.
