Palataia Pinot Noir 2011 - Case of 6
fine value pinot
agree with others that this is an excellent value Pinot with real typicity if, as expected, with a sweeter profile than burgundy. A lovely glass especially at the 25% off price.

Yes, it's German!
Don't be fooled by the (partly made up) Palataia name, this is from the Pfalz and Germany actually grows more Pinot Noir than New Zealand does. Featured on Saturday Kitchen, and a regular favourite among my customers, (Kendal store), this is gamey and savoury, top value stuff under a tenner. Like most Pinots it matches almost any food you could throw at it.

A quality wine at reasonable price
A red wine that you will want to drink again and again. The price is excellent and the quality consistent with every batch we buy. Not over oaked just a fruity wine with depth of flavour.

Average wine at fair price
At half the price of a good NZ Pinot noir its ok, good as an appetizer with cheese but it's not special
