Very long and too baggy.
My 7 year old has been desperate for some over the knee socks this summer so I ordered these to go with the summer dress from M&S. She is a size 1 and her feet were lost in the foot of the sock and they also came way up her thigh like stockings (she is slightly taller than average for her age) and they were a bit baggy before she'd even worn them so I sent them back.

Perfect for costume
After having an absolute nightmare finding plain white knee high cotton socks for 18th century costume for an community play, these were a god send. Bought the 4-7 and fitted the smallest feet (size 3) and the largest (size 13 - Just) . The pink text on the cuff was a little worrying but it didn't show through with the stage lights, socks were soft but didn't sag during performance.

Great socks
I'd bought my 7yr old the ''normal'' M&S ''knee socks'' for the start of school as usual but on 1st day was disappointed in the length of them, yes I managed to get them to her knee but it was a stretch and at the end of the day they were ''calf length''! I love M&S quality so went with DD and tried the ''over knee'' and they were a perfect fit as ''knee' socks''!! I'm not a fan of over the knee, my daughter is 7&1/2 and I want her to look 7&1/2 not like some trashy popstar!! So for us the over the knee are working just great as ''knee'', only problem with that is they only come in a pack of 2 and are obviously more expensive than the pack of 5 knee, come on M&S, sort out the length of the socks, please!
