A very special Champagne made entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in the prestigious "grand cru" villages of the Côte des Blancs in the Champagne region of north-east France. Such "blanc de blancs" champagnes have a particularly creamy, fine character. This example was made in the excellent 1998 vintage. The winemaker was the highly experienced Alain Coharde Champagne.
SERVING:
Serve lightly chilled. This is the perfect champagne for a special occasion, either enjoyed on its own or matched with seafood and fish in creamy sauces.
