Abbey Large Statement Chandelier
Bought this after decorating hall, and needing to replace shade that had been up for years. It came the next day, and I set to putting it up. The only real hassle was shortening the chain. Our house is Victorian with 3m ceilings, so I needed to reduce the chain down to about 3 links. As a previous reviewer said this was hard work. Connecting to the existing fitting was simple, and unlike many other light fittings was trouble free. The cup of the fitting fits very neatly into the original plaster ceiling rose. It took quite some time to attach all of the droplets, and the only reason I haven't given it 5 stars throughout was that some of them were faulty. I have managed to cobble together the rest, but I am waiting for the manufacturer to send me some replacements. The overall effect is amazing - our hall now looks very grand, but also very welcoming.

The light comes in several pieces with bags of crystals. The crystals have little hooks that thread through tiny holes in the metal bits so its time consuming to put them on. Fingers got a bit sore with all the fiddling.
It wasn't too difficult to hang but is very heavy and must hang from a ceiling beam. Our existing light was not positioned beneath a beam but we managed to find one not too far away with a bit of banging and ran the cable across to it. Shortening the length of the drop was the most difficult bit. The links in the chain are very stiff and difficult to open for removal.
I had initially thought it would be too big, but once up (our ceilings are about 3m high) it looks a lot smaller than when at eye level. So size is fine, if a bit of the small side! Overall I am delighted with the light. It did take time to assemble and fit but it looks great and was totally worth it.
