Cordyline Tin Planter (Delivery from 15th February 2022)

I sent this as a present for a friend’s birthday, she was very pleased with it. She sent me a photo - it looked to be crammed full of healthy plants.

This Garden Planter.was received yesterday as a “thank you” from an elderly neighbour. One Goldcrest was sitting drunkenly at the back of the pot. Some red cyclamen flowers were just visible through the compost along with a forlorn looking purple and white pansy. The Compost was woefully dry so I took the plants to revive them with a good soaking. The Hedera looked fine but thought it best to soak it too. On prising it gently out of the compost, imagine my surprise when I came upon another pansy completely buried under the ivy. This piece of merchandise is totally unacceptable but I can do nothing about it as my neighbour would be embarrassed, disappointed and annoyed if she knew of this. At this time of Covid 19 when more people are sending on-line gifts it is more imperative than ever that they should feel confident and secure in the knowledge that “all will be well” with their purchase. It is M&S’s responsibility and that of their suppliers to ensure that that is the case.

This is the first time I've had to write a negative review about M&S flowers. The Large Planter arrived on time , but the delivery box contained large amounts of loose soil. And the plants? Just one fir and one tired cyclamen in situ - nothing else - it's basically an empty container filled with dry compost. However did it get past quality control?? I now hesitate to buy M&S plants/flowers.

As this was a gift and I haven't seen the Autumn Flowering Barrel, I cannot comment, except to say my friend said it had arrived safely and she was very pleased with it! I wish you would not ask for my opinion - why ask when I am the buyer, not the recipient - who does not live anywhere near me!

She was away when it arrived and neighbours tucked it in the shed. She loves it so it was unaffected by the delay in opening. I have not seen it but she has put it in pride of place by the front door.

Both my brother and sister in law were delighted to receive this beautiful barrel of Autumn flowers as a house-warming gift. It arrived well-packaged and in full bloom! Highly recommended.

wonderful low maintenance gift which I chose as would last far longer than a bunch of flowers and cold reuse planter and plant out plats later,....lovely

Good value as i purchased with a discount. Some of the plants were a bit loose but i firmed them back and it looks lovely outside my front door.

The barrel arrived promptly on the designated day and I was delighted with the colours and the planting also the packaging had kept everything neatly intact.

I ordered the Large Autumn Flowering Barrel to be sent for a Birthday Gift. I have not seen it myself so asked for photo's of it and I was so shocked and upset as it looked nothing like the one I had ordered. Certainly not a barrel bursting with colour as I expected but a pot of soil apart from a goldcrest, small cyclamen and a few leaves stuck in the soil, no pansy to be seen. When the box was opened the plants were dislodged and had to be re potted. I am really disgusted with it.

I sent the gift to some friends as a thank you. The barrel arrived on time and in excellent condition.They are very happy and have placed the barrel in a sheltered position on the patio. Highly recommended.

I sent this barrel to my son and DIL as a present for their 12th wedding anniversary. I wish I hadn’t. My son sent 2 photos of it a few hours after receiving it and I felt ashamed that I’d sent it. It’s nothing at all like the M&S photos. There’s a large area of bare compost, some of which had been spilled in the box. There is 1 cyclamen instead of 2, 1 pansy instead of 2, a small ivy plant and a small bush. The cost online had been reduced by five pounds, but the barrel is not worth anything like that to the recipients or to me, who sent it. I’m just about to contact M&S to complain about the barrel’s contents.

A little disappointed, i expected more from M&S. Two of the plants were rattling around loose in the box where they hadn't been planted properly and have since died when i tried repotting them in the barrel .

Missing the daughter in laws birthday, this was sent as a gift. Arrived on time and in good order. The winter plants will brighten up her front door all winter. I’ve not seen it , but all who have gave it a thumbs up, and gave the above comments.
