Surprised at M &S
This lamp is very poor quality, the top fitting was not straight, the base flimsy and the shade cheap. just because it is an essentials range item does not mean it should be rubbish. I will be returning the lamp and looking more carefully at M & S products in the future.

You get for what you pay
Substandard rubbish not fiit for purpose. Should never have been sent out from the factory. Evidently a total lack of quality control. Full refund, but what a waste of effort.

DOES THE JOB
Bought for guest bedroom. Have seen similar products elsewhere which were more expensive, so I am quite pleased with this lamp.

good value product
These laps are simple in style and quite modern, do what they say on the tin and are pretty true to the picture. Easy to set up and use, they look good in my bedoom - I bought two as bedside lamps. For the price, I was very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone looking for good value, modern, simple styling for a bedroom or other room as side lamps. The cream shade is plain and lets lots of light through, giving a warm glow and gentle creamy yellow hue to the shade when switched on.
