No, I don't recommend this
This lamp is very poor quality, the top fitting was not straight, the base flimsy and the shade cheap. just because it is an essentials range item does not mean it should be rubbish. I will be returning the lamp and looking more carefully at M & S products in the future.

These laps are simple in style and quite modern, do what they say on the tin and are pretty true to the picture. Easy to set up and use, they look good in my bedoom - I bought two as bedside lamps. For the price, I was very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone looking for good value, modern, simple styling for a bedroom or other room as side lamps. The cream shade is plain and lets lots of light through, giving a warm glow and gentle creamy yellow hue to the shade when switched on.

Good lamp, but after owning them for several months we've just realised that one of the tamps is missing the white plastic collar that keeps the shade from lifiting off. We need to track down the information sheet that came with it to get the part number so it can be replaced. Anyone still got the info out there?

Unfortunately, one of the lamps had to be returned as the ring to hold the shade in position was broken. Disappointingly we had to pay extra postage after returning the lamp and reordering. Also there was difficulty in obtaining the correct bulbs. However, we are still very satisfied with the purchase.
