This lamp is perfect, just what I needed - but I have to agree with JLC that it was very fiddly to put the two sections of the stem together. At least, thanks to JLC, I was forewarned about the screws already in place!

I bought the Athenian floor lamp and two matching table lamps. I didnt have any problem assembling the floor lamp like the other reviewer. They look so classy in my living room - i love them.

Found it tricky to assemble, very tiny screws and difficult to turn the Allen key, stem of lamp in the way, then found there were some screws already in the holes, bit puzzling. However once that was sorted we are pleased with the lamp and agree about the colour, definitely not verdigris but brown.
