ABOUT THIS WINE: An exciting new-wave rosé produced from the local Bobal grape variety in the up-and-coming region of Utiel-Requena. Winemaker Pablo Ossorio has created a modern style of fruity, easy-drinking wine from a traditional Spanish grape by using the very latest production techniques. SERVING: Serve lightly chilled. An ideal aperitif or party wine or try it with light salads, savoury snacks or tapas.
KEEPING: This wine is at its best while it is young and fresh. Enjoy it within 3 months of purchase. Once opened, store the resealed bottle in the fridge and drink it within a couple of days.

Good value easy to drink wine

We purchased this wine for my sister's wedding reception hoping it would keep both the white and the red wine drinkers happy. It seemed to be well received by most of the guests, and me and my husband had no problems with road testing a few bottles in the lead up to the wedding. It is quite dry and has peppery undertones, so not one to go for if you like your Californian fruity roses. Personally, I would rather chose this as it had more interesting flavours. The only downside for me is the bottle label, which I feel doesn't do it any favours but overall a good buy - I have just ordered another case.

I like rosé but this one is not to my taste. I bought a case and have tried a couple of bottles before coming to this view.
I suppose I shouldn't have expected too much at £3 a bottle, however the wine is billed as a silver medal winner and having berry fruit aromas.
To me, the wine has little aroma and has quite a sharp taste rather than being dry. I suppose if being generous you could call it lemony. I prefer lemony G&Ts, not my rosé. I think I will stick with the dearer St Saturnin rosé which I have also reviewed.

Light, crisp, not too sweet and a good value bottle to keep in the fridge. A good table wine, I have enjoyed many a meal and have taken it to people's homes to enjoy as well. A great rose for all seasons, not just summer!
