Buckle Detail Pleated Skirt with Stormwear+™

I bought this same design for my daughter for the last 2 years. This year it is even shorter. My daughter is 6 years old - she will NOT be wearing a mini skirt to school. Real shame as this is a great skirt. M&S really need to take note of the views on their own website from other reviewers and also on other influential websites such as mumsnet. M&S school skirts are NOT getting good reviews at the moment due to their length. I would expect much better from M&S. I have now bought my daughters school skirts from NEXT.

I have been buying this design of skirt for my two little girls for several years now. They always look so smart and as they have an adjustable waist I buy the next size up which means that the length is better(they are a bit short as other reviewers have said). They wash really well too and if you hang them up as soon as they are tumble dried they do not need to be ironed- yeh!!

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. I purchased an age 9, she is not a tall child but this is too short!! She cannot wear it for school. I am disappointed.

Too short for school - webpage states knee length, but bought age 9 for my daughter (8 last month & average height) and it is about 2 inches shorter than the current skirts she is wearing which are knee length on her and are age 6-7! On retrospect looking at the photo it is clearly not designed to be knee length.

It's a nice skirt, good quality, true to size.

Lovely style and good quality but the sizes are way out - much too small. Sadly had to return it to the store.

Bought for my daughter. Good quality. Only problem is that because she is tall and thin the skirt is a little short for school standards, although she hasn't been pulled up for it yet. It does have an adjustable waist which helps.

Lovely skirt, good colour and fit with plenty plenty room for growth. However thinner material than previously bought skirts from M & S.

Lovely skirt but a little short for age 11. I like school skirts to be a more traditional length. My daughter is only 8 but tall for her age. Normally has age 9 - 10 but this skirt in the age 11 is still a little short.

My 8 year old daughter is not a skirt fan, but was happy to wear this. It is a nice style, good length and stays looking smart. The only slight criticism I would have is that it is quite big around the waist, so does look a bit bunched up at the back as you need to pull it in a fair bit (I have a taller than average, but otherwise regular sized child). Still a good buy though.

I am returning this skirt to an M&S shop and will try to speak to a manager. This is a 15 year old school skirt with a stated waist size of 28 inches. The expandable waistline is at maximum. While waiting for me to order this new skirt my daughter has been wearing a 15 year old M&S school skirt in a very similar style, which is about 5 years old (and in great condition) and belongs to her older sister. The stated waist size of the older skirt is 26 inches and the expandable waistline is TAKEN IN TO MAKE IT FIT. Please someone explain why this new skirt at 28 INCHES is too small for my daughter but the older one of 26 INCHES has to be taken in to get it to fit. Very frustrated.

A good quality robust school skirt. Easy to wash and iron. A fashionable style.

My little 3 year old just started school nursery and needed uniform. This skirt washes well and irons easily. Always looks smart.
