The key to feeling confident and effortlessly stylish is ensuring your clothes and footwear fits beautifully, which is why at M&S we design with your body in mind.
As part of our extensive range of boots, we’ve created styles with elastic adjustment that allow for around 12mm of extra room if you need it, while our fitted and semi-fitted styles make it easy to find the perfect fit to suit you.
As long as you know your shoe size, and with our easy guide below showing you how to measure your calf circumference, you’ll be ready to browse our chic new footwear collection.
The easiest way to accurately measure your calf circumference is with a fabric or paper tape measure, so we’ve provided one you can download and print below.
It’s worth considering how you might want to wear your boots: with socks, with or without tights, over or under jeans – as all will determine how your boots will fit. Be sure to have your feet flat on the floor when you wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your calf – see our video to show you precisely how to do it. Make a note of your measurements to the nearest millimetre, which gives you your calf circumference.
Now that you know you the circumference of your calf, it’s time to consider the style you’re after. We’ve divided our range into two key categories below.
To find the boots that will fit you most comfortably, compare your shoe size and calf circumference measurement with the recommended fits for each type of boot in our chart below.
For example, if you wear a UK size 5 shoe and have a calf circumference of 372mm, you’ll find that our Fitted range suits you best if you’re after a snug fit.
