Lovely aromatic Sauvignon filled with fresh grapefruit flavours that become softly peachy and tropical towards the finish. This wine combines a firm structure with delicious, ripe fruit characters.
Receiving an incredible 2,600 hours of sunshine a year, it is just as well these vineyards in Rueda are situated at a lofty 700-800m above sea level. Here the vines get the chance to recover from the hot Spanish sunshine during the cool nights and frosty winters – and the fragrant, crisp acidity of the grapes is always ensured. Winemaker Antolin González (who was just 24 when he began making wine) harvests these Sauvignon grapes at night to guarantee that they arrive at the winery below 10˚C, to ensure the fabulous fruit flavours sing out.
