Investing in a great quality duvet can help you get a comfortable night's sleep. The right duvet can make a real difference. The two main elements to consider when purchasing a duvet are:
- Tog rating
- Filling type
Duvets work by trapping heat from the body to keep you warm. The tog rating of a duvet is an indication of how effectively it can insulate you by trapping this warm air. The higher the tog rating, the warmer your duvet will be.
Tog choice is very personal and the best duvet for you depends on many factors, not least how warm you keep your bedroom. However, as a starting point, an average person should find the following togs comfortable:

All seasons |
Our All Seasons duvets make it easy. They are made up of two separate duvets clipped together - a 4.5 tog and a 9 tog. You can use the 4.5 tog through the warmer summer months and the 9 tog during the fresher autumn and spring months. In winter, simply clip the two duvets together to make a 13.5 tog duvet. We recommend a lighter duvet for children; a 3 to 9 tog is ideal. Because children are much smaller than adults, duvets trap more air around the child which makes them feel warmer.
