Delivery Services & Charges

Delivery options are shown on our product pages to let you know whether the item is available for home delivery or store collection within the UK. Many items are also available for international delivery.

Subject to terms & conditions, we currently deliver to most addresses in the UK. Selected products may be delivered to international destinations. Deliveries outside the UK are subject to customs, legal, regulatory and certain practical restrictions.

We are currently conducting a store collection trial in selected stores.  This allows you to place an order online, by phone or in-store for store collection.

Please note we do not deliver to Eire, however furniture may be ordered in Eire stores for delivery to Eire.  We do not deliver to the Channel Islands or Post Office boxes.  We do not deliver to shipping companies with the exception of furniture.

A delivery is defined as one delivery to one address at one particular time.  Please note that if your order is delivered to multiple destinations, separate charges will apply for each address.

Standard Delivery

Standard delivery costs £3.50 per delivery address and takes 2-5 working days when the product is in stock.

For deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and Scilly Isles, please allow up to 7 working days from placing your order for delivery.

Nominated Day Delivery

Nominated day delivery allows you to choose the delivery date. You may be eligible for next day delivery if you place your order by 12 noon.
Nominated day delivery costs £4.95 per delivery address and is free on orders over £150 when you enter promotion code FREENDAY at checkout. Please note orders containing gift cards or lunchtogo are not eligible for the free delivery offer.

Store Collection

You can choose to collect clothing, beauty and homeware items in a participating store. This service is free of charge. You will be able to choose a collection date when you place the order. If you place your order before 5pm, you will usually be able to collect it from store three days later. It may take up to five days if we have to source your item from further afield.

Food to Order items are available for store collection only. This service is free of charge. Different products require different minimum notice periods for collection. Depending on the product, you will need to order by 5pm 2 days, 5 days, 7 days or 21 days before collection. See individual items for details.

Flowers, Fruit Baskets and Food & Wine Gifts

Nominated day delivery is included in the price for flowers, fruit baskets and Food & Wine gifts. You may be eligible for next day delivery if you place your order by 1pm for fruit baskets and 5pm for flowers and Food & Wine gifts. Please note that fresh hampers contain perishable refrigerated food. We can only make one attempt at delivery as the quality would be compromised by redelivering at a later date. Please make sure that someone is available to take delivery of the hamper.


Flowers by Post are delivered via Royal Mail first class post and prices include delivery. Your order will be posted the day after we receive your order. Orders should arrive within 3 working days, subject to Royal Mail.


Please note we are unable to deliver flowers or foods to BFPO Boxes, PO Boxes, Eire, the Channel Islands or overseas.

Made to Measure Shirts

Made to Measure shirts are made up and delivered within 21 days and prices include delivery.

Food to order is collected in-store and there is no charge for this service.

Furniture, Large TVs and Large Electrical Appliances

Most furniture, large TVs and large electrical appliances are delivered by our specialist delivery companies.  Delivery is free and takes between 2 and 12 weeks.  You will be contacted when your order is ready to be delivered in order to agree a delivery time and date.

All furniture orders are delivered within the UK mainland and Northern Ireland by our home delivery service.  Each vehicle has a trained crew of two men, who carry identification cards at all times.  When your order is ready, our home delivery service will contact you to confirm your delivery date and a four hour timescale e.g 10 am to 2 pm.  Your delivery won't happen until you have been contacted by phone or by letter and you have accepted the delivery offered.  To help you plan your day, at the time of booking, you can ask the crew to contact you up to an hour before expected delivery.  On the delivery day the crew will contact you if there is any delay. If you are unable to accept the delivery offered or you wish us to hold your order, we can provide a storage service at a cost of £25 per week.

On delivery of your furniture

Before our crew arrives, please ensure that normal ground floor access and the room itself have enough space for your new furniture to be delivered.  Our crew will unpack and assemble your furniture. All packing materials will be taken away, disposed of and recycled where possible.  The crew will ask you to inspect your items carefully and will give you a checklist to help you do this.  After this, you'll be asked to sign for the furniture.  It's therefore essential that you're present.  If you're not satisfied for any reason, please inform the crew before signing.

Furniture with a product code prefix of T84

T84 furniture will be delivered to your door.  You will need to unpack and position them yourself.  A signature will be required upon receipt of your order.  Some products may require self-assembly; instructions will be provided.

* Deliveries to Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland may take up to 7 working days.

** There is only a 48 hour delivery service available for some postcodes.  The earliest delivery date for orders placed on Sunday will be the following Tuesday and the following Wednesday for 48 hour delivery postcodes.

Chilled hampers cannot be delivered to BFPO addresses, PO boxes Scottish highlands and Islands, Isle of Wight, N. Ireland, Scilly Isles, Channel Islands or overseas. 

A specific delivery date cannot be requested to BFPO addresses, PO boxes, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, N. Ireland Scilly Isles or overseas. 

Hamper orders using the standard delivery service can be delivered to all UK addresses except BFPO boxes, PO boxes, the Channel Islands and overseas.

Plan A. Climate Change. Our free eco-friendly furniture delivery service is supported by Forest Carbon, which helps landowners plant forests that meet Forestry Commission standards. Since 2006 we’ve supported the planting of 30,000 trees to help offset the annual emissions from our furniture deliveries up to August 2009. Please note not all hospitals will accept delivery of flowers.  Please check with the hospital before ordering.

Amendments and cancellations can be accepted until your flower order is prepared for despatch.  During busy periods, such as Christmas, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day, your order details may be prepared up to 3 days before your order is ready to be despatched.  Cancellations and amendments are not possible on orders placed in this period.

International delivery

Due to customs, legal, regulatory and certain practical restrictions applicable to orders placed for international delivery, some of our products may not be available for delivery to certain destinations outside the UK. Marks & Spencer reserves the right to define what can and cannot be delivered to which destination.

Please note that many countries have import restrictions on certain products or materials.  Customers are responsible for checking with the local customs authorities before placing an order for international delivery.  Marks & Spencer cannot offer any assistance in this process.


Marks & Spencer products are sold in pounds Sterling on a Delivery Duty unpaid basis. The recipient may have to pay import duty or a formal customs entry fee prior to or on delivery. Additional taxes, fees or levies may apply according to local legislation and customers are advised to check these details before placing an order.
