M&S Collection Scoop Neck Gypsy Dress
I bought this dress to wear out and about, not too the beach. It is a brilliant practical dress, that DOES NOT CREASE. I am disabled and so constantly sitting down, and it does not crease or look creased when I need too stand up. HOWEVER, being a 34gg I ordered the size 18 and it was way too big! I took it back to store for an exchange and I noticed that 11 size 18, and 9 size 16 identical dresses where all varying lengths. I decided on a size 16 and a length I liked, which at 5' 6" was just above my knee. I also purchased the same dress in coral at another M+S store found the lengths where way off!
I ordered a white dress online and when it arrived it is even shorter than the coral and emerald dresses I already have. So I guess M+S need too look at their quality control.
I realise the length might not been a big factor for some people, but I just thought its worth mentioning! xx

Not great for taking off at the beach
A nice dress, but when you take it off and put it in your bag whilst you sunbathe on the beach, it really screws up and then you look a mess on the way home. Bad choice of fabric for a beach dress. Shame. Nice but not practical.

The "emerald" version is in fact aqua blue :-(
I purchased this dress in emerald as it's my favourite colour and I thought it would be perfect for my beach holiday. When it arrived it was in actual fact aqua blue. I double checked in case I had been sent the wrong one, but no - the tag said emerald although it blatantly isn't any shade of green - are you colour blind, M&S?
Unfortunately, aqua blue is not my colour and this, combined with it being nowhere near roomy enough to accommodate my bust and the frills making me look rather like a mumsy milk maid, definitely means that this dress is being returned.
Shame, as the quality of the dress was excellent and it was good value for money - now I have to start my search for a beach dress all over again...
