ABOUT THIS WINE: The grapes for this wine are 100% Sangiovese. The fruit was hand-picked from the Villa Cafaggio estate in the commune of Greve, in the heart of the Chianti Classico area of Tuscany, between Florence and Sienna. The winemaker was Stefano Farkas, who aged the wine in Slovenian oak cases for 12 months to extra richness and body.
SERVING: Serve this wine at room temperature. It makes a versatile partner for lots of savoury dishes, but do try it above all with meaty pasta dishes, roast game or poultry and mature cheeses.
KEEPING: This wine has been released ready to drink, but it will evolve well over the next 18 months, softening and mellowing with maturity. Once opened, enjoy it within 3 days, resealing the bottle and storing in a cool, dark place between servings.

Great Chianti

After taking a wine tasting tour whilst on honeymoon in Tuscany, I've rather taken to Chianti. I was given a bottle of this variety for my birthday and wasnt disappointed. Deep in colour and rich in taste is how I'd describe it, and I'll be buying more in the near future. Great wine!
