ABOUT THIS WINE: Italy's classic grape, Sangiovese, is traditionally at home in Tuscany where it is the mainstay of the wines of Chianti. But here in the sunny south of the country it shows equal versatility. This juicy red is made from grapes carefully selected by Master of Wine, Tony Brown, and esteemed Italian winemaker Claudio Manera from mature, low yielding vineyards on the Salento Peninsula in Southern Puglia.
It is traditionally fermented in stainless steel vats, with six days maceration on skins and no wood ageing.
