THIS WINE IS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED. FRESH TASTING AND FULL OF FRUITY NOTES. IS EASY DRINKING AND GOES WELL WITH OR WITHOUT FOOD. I DO HOWEVER FIND IT ACCOMPANIES LITTLE CUBES OF M&S MATURE CHEDDAR CHEESE VERY WELL :-)
HAVE JUST ORDERED MORE FOR MY WINE RACK VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Easy drinking wine at a great price
I had often bought a bottle (or two) of this wine and had never been disappointed - it is a lovely easy drinking wine, both on its own or with a meal. So when I was looking for a gift I bought a case of 6 and the recipient was suitably impressed.

Casa Leona Chardonnay 2011
Chardonnay is not my favourite white variety. I usually find it a little bland and anonymous - Riesling and semillon are more to my liking. However, Mrs Bitengineer likes chardonnay and as this was at a good price I bought twelve! Even at the listed price it seemed a bargain and with a 20% off till voucher and my last shareholder vouchers it was a steal. The description is accurate.
We've had the wine with fish and chicken dishes as well as on its own. I preferred it in the latter role but I thought it worked well with fish. If it were summer and I was lolling on the patio tending the barbecue, I could easily see myself having a couple of glasses of this rather than one - its a very quaffable drink! As it is, the 12 bottles are going quickly as our friends seem to appreciate this too! Would I buy more. Yes!
