A Pinot in the typical style of Burgundy
Fresh on the nose, the ripe berries immediately coat the pallete, soft and pleasant tannins, a hint of spice and the oak is definitely a great addition giving a touch of sweet vanilla on the nose and a more rounded feel on the palette which accompanies the spiciness.
Overall, it's a pinot noir for a tenner, very helpful label for wine drinkers who may not be familiar with french wines, overall a nice approachable pinot which gives you a (slight) taste of what burgundy pinot is famous for.
