Lacking in taste
I had bought this wine before a year or so ago. It wasn't great the and unfortunately it hasn't improved. It is dull and distinctly lacking in taste and character which for a c £10 bottle price (non sale) is a major disappointment.
This wine, before it was changed a couple of years ago when Nicolas Potel was involved, was truly excellent and a serious cut above the Macon and (white) Burgundy that M&S sells (and which are dependably good and very good value, especially so at sale prices). Needless to say I won't be buying any more of this particular wine. That said I remain a real fan of M&S wine in general for its range, quality and value - but unfortunately not in this case.

A very nice wine
Light and delicately fruity, non-oaky, this is a good wine to accompany a summery meal or as a drink on its own. A good price too. I'll be buying more.

Good value
Good example of village burgundy. Well balanced, fresh, good mouthfeel, some length. Good value at £6 to £8 - 2009 vintage.
