30 Denier Body Sensor™ Magicwear™ Opaque Bodyshaper Tights

These are without a shadow of a doubt my favourite tights. Best of both worlds, you get incredible shaping technology and don't need extra magic undies underneath. The tights themselves are really robust and survive lots of hand or machine washes (I put mine in a laundry bag to protect them when I do machine wash for their own safety!) and they last ages. However I would agree with other reviews that the sizing is really inconsistent. I bought 5 pairs on my last trip and they are all different lengths, even before I've worn them. I've ended up adding a stitch to the bale of the short ones so I don't wear them with dresses as they roll down at the top. But otherwise they're very good and cheap compared to alternatives.

I'm 5 ft 11 and always suspect that tights won't fit or stay up. These did and also do give a good line under clothes. I wore them for a long day and they still felt as comfortable at the end of the day as the beginning. That's novel. The black isn't quite as black as other tights I've had but at 30 denier I don't think anyone other Han me would have noticed- I'm v fussy!!!

I can't get enough of these tights. I recently bought some stretch-knit skirts to wear at the weekend instead of the usual jeans, and of course I needed some figure-shaping tights to hide any lumps and bumps! The Magicwear ones are just great, acting like a pair of 'magic knickers' and tights all in one. Job done! And they last ages.

The patterned style are a great addition to the range.

I've had these tights before so was shocked when I tried to put this pair on, same size as usual, but I literally could not fit into them! I'm still the same size as always and I have compared them to other pairs of the same style & size & they are much, much smaller. I've written to M&S and the response was to take them back to a store so ..... Watch this space!

I've been wearing M&S tights, from 10 denier and up for more years than I care to remember. At this time of year my usual 'go to' tights are the 60 denier Magicwear Bodyshaper tights. However, when it's not so cold I wear the 30 denier version. The only problem that I've found is what I can only describe as an inconsistency in sizing. Difficult to be precise because most of my 30 denier tights fit me well and more importantly don't 'roll down' as the day progresses! However, I've noticed that some of my 30 denier tights have a nasty habit of doing just that. I buy the same size in all my tights so I am left wondering if sometimes they are wrognly packaked, small instead of my usual medium! Although I've not noticed the lable in the tights differing from what they are supposed to be. I suppose it's just one of life's tiny mysteries and no way will it stop me buying and wearing them, but at £6 a pair it's a tad annoying when I find a pair that doesn't 'stay put'!

Love these tights, excellent quality and fit.

Maybe not the cheapest, but I've been wearing these for years, particularly for posh winter events like a ball. They make your abs and thighs feel like steel and glide over all the problem areas - fab under a slinky dress, or if you're about to eat a three course meal and don't want people to mistake you for pregnant. Mine have also washed and lasted well. Hurrah for M&S! NB : If you're tall, you'll need a large - check the size guide carefully and estimate up.
