2 Pack Heatgen™ Thermal Long Pants

I already have two pairs of M&S ribbed longpants which are nice and warm. I wanted another couple of pairs but my local city-centre branch didn't have any left in my size. I saw these in a twin-pack and after some hesitation i bought them. I was probably taken in by the big orange 'Heatgen' motif. Big mistake! Not only are these not warm they are actually quite cold. The material has a cold feel to it when you put them on and they don't seem to warm up at all with body heat.. If you need thermals pay the extra £2.75 per pair for the ribbed ones - they're warm!

Bought for the husband so he can to continue to play golf in arctic conditions (crazy I know). Unlike the vests they were a good fit and at least that part of the anatomy is warm. The vest were like all M&S men's vest these days too short and he's not that tall and theres only been a problem over the last few years. Please sort it out M&S

I fell for the Heatgen in the name, expecting some sort of magic. They are well made, feel soft and while you're standing still seem to fit snugly and well. However, if you want to walk or sit down, expect to be shoving your hands down your trousers constantly and hoiking them up. And, of course, the important bit: do they keep your legs warm? No. I had better thermal protection when i borrowed a pair of my girlfriends tights on a particularly cold camping trip, they also helped keep my feet warm too. She probably paid £1.99 for them.

Conventional thermals, in my view, tend to sag a little and are generally unsightly. The Heatgen material, on the other hand, feels really good to wear and - as an added bonus - these long pants received a thumbs-up from my wife. Excellent product at a terrific price.
